Celebrity heights are never accurate they are usually guessed I met Arnold Schwarzeneggar and he looked 6ft? it is hard to tell if Eastwood has indeed lost 4 inches though he is in his 80's he always had a back hunch which says he is having posture issues.....like I have said most people if they CAN stand straight lose very little height I even posted a medical link that is based off of years and years of data gathered. It is clear that Sharkey is standing straight and he does so in later pictures....he isn't hunched from years of using computers, sitting at desks reading, or bent over at the waist from years of hard labor digging ditches, or anything else he is standing straight.

Do you have a back problem? Seriously. I don't think just because you're older that you should shrink.
I've seen old men and women with curvature of the spine that are bent over very badly but that's a medical condition not just growing older.

Jack Sharkey was listed at 6 feet. Tom Sharkey is in dress shoes, but looks over his listed height 5'8 1/2 here.

Below is a photo of Sharkey and Jeffries in the ring. Though their knees are bent, you could see Jeffries has a few inches on Sharkey. I think 5'9" is about right for Tom Sharkey, but Sharkey was a thick and broad man. You could see he was very strong in the photos. Sharkey must have been quick on his feet. How else could he have tracked down Corbett, McCoy and Choynski, three fighters known for excellent mobility.

I think he was an Irish Rocky Marciano, or if you prefer a less refined two fisted Joe Frazier.
