From watching DeGale against that Cuban guy, I left myself wondering "How on earth did this guy beat Darren?"

From what I've seen, he's sloppy, not much technique and he gets hit easily from lead right hands. I've seen Sutherland fight lefty's before and he takes them apart perfectly. To be fair though, the Cuban was awkward and it was an ugly, ugly fight.

What is his style normally like? strengths?Weaknesses?

Well, he has a record of 2 wins and 4 losses against Sutherland, so in a way you are right. You would expect Sutherland to beat him and generally he has. However, DeGale has shown a remarkable ability to adapt to different fighters in these Olympics.

In a word - uppercuts. He must've scored with 3 or 4 and I think it threw Sutherland

He hammered Sutherland really. Sutherland looked so plodding, he was picked off with absolute ease.

The final was probably his worst performance, he got caught up in the cheating tactics of the Cuban.

Sutherland showed no desire, he seemed far too happy with his Bronze and once he had achieved that it seemed his mind was set on his pro career already, despite having an Olympic semi-final still to fight.

I didn't see Degale against the Cuban but he looked very good in the Quarter-final and against Darren so maybe he had an off night against an awkward opponent(even though he won).
