The greatest fighter you can ever overcome is yourself. Learn to enjoy it.

Is there anyway to stop yourself going wild in the ring with the adrenaline flowing and therefore forgetting your gameplan and technique? Or do you eventually just get used to it and stay more relaxed when fighting/sparring?

I love this feeling, if i feel like this i know i will be there to fight, if you are not nervous you will loose.

I agree with most of that statement. Fear/nerves are the primary trigger that stimulates the Adrenalin gland into releasing Adrenalin.

Its the "feelings of inferiority" that the OP says can have a negative effect on him during his fights that needs to be addressed.

I can think of one famous boxer who went through all kinds of torture before his fights. He would question his own ability, and be afraid and upset that he would let himself and others down, and think he wasn't good enough or worthy enough etc etc....you get my drift? that guy was none other than "Iron Mike Tyson"

He had a soft childlike side to his nature....he also had the hard as nails "baddest man on the planet" side to his mentality that he could switch to at the drop of a hat. He could substitute one "attitude" or "thought pattern" for another when the chips were down. I think he did that so often it was just second nature for him,but he still dropped his guard from time to time, while some of us have trouble putting on a mask that easily.

Being nervous is a good sign and natural reaction. It basically means that the fight matters to you. Without that feeling, you would be no good. Begin incorporation mental training exercises. Your body is only as good as the mind allows it to be. All this is very hard to go into in detail. Go to http://www.stadion.com/freebies.html.
