    i;m just a fan of boxing not of ali inparticular,and if there was something dodgy i wouldnt defend him for it.there was doubt over a couple of things in ali s career but one thing that wasnt was his greatness. he fought and beat the best boxers in the best era of boxing

    thats why i argue that it may not have been a dive

    watch the footage ali doesnt go to a neutral corner liston stays down cause you dont have to get up til the opponent goes to the corner

    similar to dempsey vs tunney

    liston was down on a freak punch ali crowded him so he didnt get up waited for the ref to restore order

    fight resumed for like 10 or more seconds

    if it was a dive why would liston even get up

    why would he even get up and throw punches

    dont ya think he would have just stayed down

    its not even worthy of a reply.sure there where calls of dodgy decisions,most succesfull champs have one or 2 along the way i.e floyd castillo or manny marquez de la hoya sturm etc but look at who the man beat,plus the fact in his career he had to change his fighting style whe he couldnt dance no more and done so with great effect
