Jack Dempsey would have finished both Jess Willard and Luis Firpo in the first round (albeit with no neutral corner rule).

Joe Louis would have finished Bob Pastor and Johny Paycheck in round 1. He would also have finished Buddy Baer by knockout first time round rather than by DQ.

    Other examples?

Not that simple. Firpo may not have been as willing to go down had he been aware of a three knockdown rule.

Assuming everything else stays the same, McVey would've knocked out Jeanette in what is now know as their 49-rounder.

Dempsey would've less highly regarded because his destruction of Willard would've been less brutal.

I think the third knockdown in the first Louis-Baer fight came after the bell, so that would not have been a knockout.

Max Baer would have stopped Carnera in the first round.

Dempsey would have suffered a one round knockout defeat to middleweight Johnny Sudenberg.

Louis knocked Baer down after the bell, so that still would have been a DQ.

Foreman-Frazier would have ended in one round, Ali-Williams would have ended in the second round, etc.

Would of hurt them as well; The Ol' Mongoose would of lost to Durelle in a round.;)

It is a very silly and pointless rule.

Hector Carrasquilla would have stopped Soo Hwan Hong in two rounds to become the inaugural WBA Super Bantamweight Champion, instead of getting knocked out himself in three.

Ah, but in an ugly counterexample, Archie Moore would have been laden with a first-round knockout loss against Durelle instead of an epic, legend-making victory.

A more recent one would be JMM-Pacquiao

Pacquiao wouldn't have that draw on his resume if there was a three knockdown rule :D
