Neither of these are great cards, or at least as they stand now they aren't.

    Usyk vs Belly
    Opetaia vs Briedis II
    Big Bang vs J-Park
    Ball vs Vargas

Are great/very good/good match ups but the rest of them are meh, even AJ vs Ngannou

The rest are mostly just a bunch of prospects

The last card in Saudi was a great card

Wow, this guy said that Bivol vs Beterbiev is the biggest fight in boxing and wants to see it in June. WOW

I had hoped for Hrgovic and Wilder as well on the card, but it makes sense that they don't feature. I think it would be the end of Wilder's career if he faced Zhang or Hrgovic, and for Hrgovic it makes perfect sense to wait and face Joshua in the summer. Don't know how serious his call out of Parker was, going to be interesting to see what the parties have to say about it.

Eddie Hearn is so focused on finding his way to a quick easy undisputed shot against Fury that he's going to miss Francis taking AJ's head clean off.

Eddie doesn't seem to realize there is a good chance Fury Usyk have a rematch so he should focus on who he wants to chin his bodybuilder. Francis, Zhang or Hurgovic.

Yeah, I'm not overly impressed with it (edit: it = Usyk v Fury card)

The co-main on paper is a rematch everyone wants to see, but taking a step back: Breidis is 39 now and will have been inactive since his war with Opetaia in the summer of 2022...

Where is Jared Anderson and/or Efe Ajagba. Fury is still with Top Rank is he not?

Zero. Wouldn't need to. Your boy is gonna get whooped by any boxer who takes his craft seriously.
To be honest a top 5 boxer like Joshua seems over kill to me. Christ, image what Kabayel would do to Francis given the chance.

It's more likely Joshua is being paid to make Francis look good. Gotta keep that money train going. Note on the poster Francis looks like he is being pushed as the A-side. Although Joshua is on the left and his name is first, Francis has been made to look much bigger on the poster and the choice of colour on his font makes it obvious they are pushing the "

Nice to see Ray Vargas back at 126 to defend his belt.

I don't think that Huni's camp will be putting him in with Hrgovic just yet.

Huni is potentially very good. He's a beautiful boxer but needs a bit more power. I can assure you that his camp are not viewing him as a stepping stone and are taking things very slowly with him. He's still young and the general belief is that Huni can go to the top of the sport if they get it right with him.

If he steps in against Hrgovic it would only be because his camp thinks he is a very live chance. I doubt that time is now though. They'll find a credible but beatable opponent for Huni to showcase him at this event. He won't be there to fight above his level.

After having no choice but to follow Wilder's reign of mediocrity for all these years ... bottom line is; Saudi's are calling the shots and have an agenda. They want mainstream media coverage for themselves, and won't get it out of boxing from lameness.

Wilder is finally in this position where he *has* to fight genuine top tier fighters if if wants to stay in the game. And they're probably not aligned to his side, so they're going to come to win. It's a thing of beauty actually. The Saudi's are also positioned so that they're not open to being messed around.

It's almost like pro-boxing is having a stint as an actual sport again.

On a side note, I've posted on here for a while that it makes perfect sense for Jalolov to be on these cards. A Muslim gold medalist from an Islamic country. Good move for Huni to sign with Matchroom. I wonder if they could work in someone WBA, pull in Cassius Chaney from outside or something, and set him up for Pulev later in the year? Looking towards Anderson after that.
