Im not even checking those links. As long as you have good gloves then your golden, but heres a little help.

Heavybag: how heavy are you? if your around 150lbs a 100-125lb bag will be all you need for a very long time. If your heavier start with those weights anyhow, until your hands & wrists get used to the pounding. Dont buy a stand either, you need to be able to circle the bag to get you moving otherwise your just standing and punching. If you get used to that when you step in the ring you'll just stand & be clobbered, you'll also have problems hitting a guy whos moving.

Speedbag: Dont get stingy and buy the heavybag/speedbag combos, they are shittier than ****. They wobble which robs you of speed and ruins your rhythm. Buy a nice solid frame with a wooden rebounding surface. The smaller the speedbag the faster it can go, so a relatively small bag I find best.

Double end bag: just get one, you can adjust the speed of it by adjusting the slack. These are great for timing, speed and reflexes.

    cont'd...

Handwraps: you need them. When you punch something hard the little bones in your hands try to spread which can cause a broken hand, the wraps resist that movement. They also help prevent you from busting your wrist by supporting it, since your new youll likely tweek your wrist often, the wraps will keep the pain to a minimum. Believe it or not your hands arent made to pound on things.

Gloves: Get a good pair (eg Title brand) of 16oz gloves. You can do everything with these if you like, even spar. Or you can get 2 pairs, 1 16oz pair & 1 pair of bag gloves. Bag gloves are smaller and lighter and are made to protect your hands while hitting a heavybag, theyre not for sparring. You need good quality gloves to protect your hands so don't skimp on these either.

Rope: If you can stand on the middle of it and the handles reach you armpits its the right length. Get one with ball bearings in the handles since theyre smoother, faster and last longer.

    Hope this helps
