Thinking about starting up training Jiu jitsu as its something ive always wanted to do. Going to my first one tonight. Was just curious in general how tiring is it? Would i be able to go do a strength session at the gym at like 3-4 then jj at 8:30-10:30 providing i had a decent meal in between
Your first few sessions, depending on what you're doing, will be very tiring. I've worn out guys with just the warm up because they're not used to the movements.
Went along wasnt tiring at all but will wait till tomorrow to make that judgement. Very relaxed not nearly as serious as i would like tbh. Probably cos half the group were new to it and not athletic at all. Its weird im not a serious person at all in life but when it comes to training things im really interested in i have very little time for joking around.
I done some JJ during a kickboxing class, I was very tired after 10 minutes. Either the instructor was **** or he was taking it very easy on you all.
if you rolled(sparred) no matter what your level of fitness you would of found it very tiring on your first day
This is what i think it was. It was more showing the kind of thing wed be learning rather than proper training i think. Id rather do BJJ tbh
Oh yeah of the 20-30 people there only 5 had GIs/Experience apart from one guy who did Judo. Just running through a few techniques step by step.
Rolling is VERY tiring. I do it as part as my Judo game (15 mins groundwork, 45-60 mins standing) and believe me, it can knock the 'wind out of your sails' no matter how long you have done it for. Newbie? It will wear you out really bad. Great sport though.
