In this book it states that you should get up on your toes nd move in circles away from your opponent. Is'nt this just circling or am I getting confused? Hypnos Brother.
I dont think you ever really back pedal, morel ike backing, but at an angle, but just move back like you would anything else, push off with the front foot and lift with the back foot, im very light footed so i guess i could say i "dance" a lot.. Im pretty sure it just means to do normal circles using normal footwork though.
Just make sure your outside of his hook and not moving into his right. If you really want to play it safe crouch down so he'll have to get eye level with you when scoot away from him.
a good trick i have used before when being rushed (as long as u have enough space the whole time) is to take 3-4 steps straight back getting ready to a BIG counter. i usually just use a straight right, or a sort of countering right over their punching hand. but i'm sure u could use an upper cut or hook. but most of the time though u should be moving in circles, correct.
its strange everytime i move on my toes my back foot the calf goes really tite and it kills it is painful but only on my back foot but it doesnt hurt if i stay flat footed only on my toes. does any one know what this is.
Pay attention to some old boxing matches and you'll see what I'm talking about. I think Pernell Whitaker actually did that a lot.
