Floyd's KO record isn't that great. Five of the last six have gone the distance, and he couldn't knock out Marquez, who was tiny in comparison. I'm not saying Floyd wouldn't win, but I certainly wouldn't bet on the KO.
GOOD TO GO:good I just think Pac will be tattooed by clean shots when he comes in off balance. Agree to! Floyds power is about a 3 or 4 on a 1-10 scale...his shots are stinging as they are thrown with a lot of precision...power isn't always needed when the guy doesn't see the punch coming.. Last I checked Manny's defense is ok..he is very open to counters.. nice post though...Cant argue with what you said:good
1. Don't allow him to get in rhythmn by always getting off first, if you stand back and allow Pac to dictate when there will be action, and do as he wants, part of the fight is already lost. I think you have to have the balls to take the necessary risk of getting off first consistantly. 2. Work behind a stiff jab, keep a jab in his face all night, not a "range finder" but a legitimate jab that is being thrown with the intent of doing some damage. He has proven that he will stand and eat a jab if someone is willing to throw it. 3. Don't let him lure you into these huge exchanges, this is something that has proven difficult for many of the guys (outside of Clottey) he's faced recently. To me this is a trap and something Pac does well, he gives a sense of vulnerability and his opponents especially Margo and Cotto walk into this trap and get ****ed up because Pac is faster and he is dictating the exchange. 4. Keep your ****ing hands up, and don't just stand in front of him and allow him to hit you, this is in the same mold of the get off first, keep him guessing, get him a bit frustrated, make him get anxious and take some chances, **** his rhythmn up as much as you can. Sort of like Cotto did during the last two or three rounds of their fight. Pac was frustrated, he was actually getting hit more, landing less, and had Cotto not had his ass beat up to that point, he may have been able to make something of it. 4. Obviously being an accurate and sharp counter puncher, make him hesitate to throw at will, nothing is going to keep him from throwing but the idea would be to make him think before he throws, this slight hesitation could be the opening that allows you to "get off first", then move, set, get in a couple of shots, move, set. If a counter puncher can ring his bell a couple times, you are going to see his workrate drop and when that happens I think it gives anyone a better chance, better relative to their chances going into it.
come on ppl Pacquiao isn't unbeatable, he's already been beat lol all you gotta do is counter punch, make him think twice about throwing his flurries and either walk him down in close range or outbox him from long range becuz we all know Pac is most effective at mid range...despite him being strong he isn't a good inside fighter...this thread is a joke
Did he not eat jabs from Margo, I mean you replay this clip over and over, I mean God Damn he's a world class fighter. I think it's a given he's going to at some point counter the jab, that doesn't change the fact you still have to throw it and throw it consistantly.
problem is Pacquiao would also be countering your jab with his right hook and because he has faster hands than most boxers today, he'd be landing already by the moment the opponent cocks his jab. that way he most probably neutralizes the opponent's jab and makes him a target practice with his left
