'How To Beat' Series - Ray Robinson vs Ray Leonard

I personally think Burley had the best case made for him. I went for Montreal Duran. Stylistically both different fighters to Leonard. A better case for beating Robinson? Apparently not, as its gone this way.

I just don't see how you make a case for SRL here. For me it's not so much the speed edge SRR would probably have, it's the difference in strength. I realize we're talking about '47, but we're still talking about a guy who had the body to dominate great middleweights facing off against a guy who, quite frankly, didn't. I see SRL winning a round here or there early, then getting battered into submission something like he did Hearns around the 13th or 14th.

 

McGrain's case for Burley was excellant. It's ironic that the fighter with the 'best' chance to beat Leonard as voted by the forum and the same forum has struggled to make a good case for him.
