A thread like this already was already made on Bivol so I decided to make one on Crawford. I know he looks invincible right now but every ATG fighter had a fighting style they struggled with. Personally, I think a great pressure fighter with a good chin can give him a hard time all 12 rounds. But I would like to know your thoughts on how someone can hypothetically beat Crawford.

He hasn't looked invincible, Porter gave him all he could handle with intelligent strong pressure.

Gamboa gave him issues with superior speed and timing.

Crawford has shown that next level though, that mean streak, like when Leonard came out swinging against Hearns.

He's clearly a great fighter, he was the lineal champ (and clearly the number 1) at LW, LWW and WW.

He's an excellent talent, but he's not unbeatable, no one is.

Bud has got a good style. Porter and Jose Benavidez had some success. I dont know what exact style. Floyd, a fellow undefeated fighter, struggled with 1 particular style and that was pressure fighters who were dirty (JLC, Maidana) and even in parts of DLH.

I know hes not invincible but i didnt want to trigger the fanboys too much. People need to remember that porter gave him a legitamately tough fight with one foot out the door. I personally don't think hes batman. So who do you think can beat crawford and with what style? Personally, I don't think he beats prime pac since porter's style is kind of similar.

hes an aggressive counterpuncher with a long reach for his size (similar to prettyboy floyd i think). which style best neutralizes that? I feel pressure fighters are the ones to get the job done since floyd also struggled with those (good ones ofc). Maybe a slugger since I don't think crawford has the best chin (got dropped by mean machine).

Amir Khan was actually giving him some problems so if you have someone who is exactly like Khan but has a great chin and a bigger punch, but can also fight inside, with great stamina, who can maybe do midrange like a Tyson, but is maybe bigger, like in a higher weight from 54 to 75 or higher, I think you've got it.

Do what Porter did, but avoid getting knocked out. He's not the hardest guy to outbox, in spite of what many of his dickriders proclaim. But lucky for Bud, like Jermell Charlo, he always has that equalizer to fall back on when things don't pan out for him otherwise.

Bud often fights conservatively until he's got control of the empty space/lead hand control. A guy who can keep him concerned with that deep into the fight potentially doesn't have to deal with Bud's full range of attack as often.

Long armed counterpunchers with boxing skills tend to be weak against unpredictable rushing swarmer's who have a decent chin. A well known example is Floyd vs Maidana.
