Threw two of his hardest punches (without wearing gloves) at Larry Donald while he wasn't expecting it, and barely seemed to hurt him. Not too impressive ...and Andrew Golota
Bowe couldn't beat Golota and was scared to death of Lennox Lewis. Bowe vs. Wlad would be interesting, and I agree he beats Wlad by mid round KO. But if Golota's awkward offense troubled "Big Daddy", how could he possibly beat Vitali. Vitali stops Bowe in 9.
Bowe gets such an easy ride with fantasy match ups. He was very good for a couple of fights with Holyfield then **** forever. I call that regression to the mean Its like using Buster Douglas' fight with Tyson as the standard measure of how good Douglas was as a fighter. Totally unreasonable!
Golota still had no heart. When things got tough, he fouled out of fights and quit on numerous occasions.
I always chuckle when I see Bowe in ATG HW Top 10 lists. He belongs nowhere close to the top 10 and his claim to fame is battling toe-to-toe with a 3" shorter CW while giving away all of his physical advantages. Bowe certainly wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed ring intelligence-wise.
Either Kbro KO's fat man. Bowe is the most overated bum since Jellybean Arreola. He had better boxing skills than Chris, but same lack of disipline ... but, of course, when that's all you have to hang onto... go ahead and make this stupid post.
Bowe did not do well against fighters of his size. Golota whooped him. Lewis beat in the amateurs, which is why BOwe avoided him like a plague. Bowe had a great jab, yes, but against small fighters. Golota outjabbed him silly. Wlad would have outjabbed Bowe to a UD. Now Vitali-Bowe, this would be an fight of the decade candidate.
