Golota's jab was great before he had a car accident around 1999. He was knocking guys out with it in the amateurs. He is not just an ex doorman, he won bronze in the olympics (because he lost ON CUT in 1/2 final). Bowe had trouble/was afraid of big guys with skills I would say and both Klits fit the bill. That said if it's Bowe from the first Holyfield fight it's a pretty much pick'em fight in both cases.
I agree with you. Very good, but no ATG. Most of the guys that build up Bowe, are also (or mainly) Holyfield fans. Holy was great because he put up such a great effort against ATG Bowe. Bowe was an ATG, because he beat Holyfield, who was great. Perfect circular logic that can't be argued against.
This isn't really an analytical "how-to" guide...you've simply named someone you think would beat them based on his physical attributes.
that's simply because bowe didn't choose to be a chess player in the ring with holyfield the majority of the time, but when he did choose to box holyfield, he did very well for himself, especially in the early rounds of the first fight. also, keep in mind that holyfield was undefeated going in against bowe, and the epitome of an attack dog in the ring.
It's simple just don't be afraid and get up close and personal and overwhelm them don't stand around like some fat bum eating jabs.
Bowe wouldn't have seen the final bell vs either klitschko in any point of his career. tsk. boys, please stop waxing nostalgia. You're burning my eyes. ANY objective boxing fan knows that the klits would've destroyed any version of bowe. Beating a small holyfield who was having heart problems at the time isn't the same as beating 2 athletic giants with telephone polls for arms. Geez!
