Might sound a bit silly, but how do you become a ring announcer? I have a deep, booming voice, and think I could do a decent job. Is it simply a case of getting licensed and trying to find a promoter to use you? or is it the type of thing you'd just fall into if the situation was right?
Next time you go to a drive-thru Mcdonalds, order your meal as if you're announcing a fight. The Government have secret agents tapping those microphones, and if somebody makes their order in a clear, dramatic and anticipation building way then they send agents out to track them down and enrol them in a secret training base until they can announce in 6 languages. Then they must have announcer wars until only one man is standing, and that man gets to work for HBO/Showtime etc. Or get a job as a bingo caller and work your way up the ladder?
You need to have the inability to distinguish between a split and a majority decision Oh and being in Grange Hill helps
you have to be licensed by the bbboc ,it takes ages to get to tv level. A few i know do the amatuers and a few pro shows...
Yea licencing them has worked well. Mark burdiss though last night was shocking even by his low standards :gsg
