Hi, I'm a left-handed southpaw and my sparring partner (also my friend), a right-handed stance switcher always does that lead hand control thing. I know that he's either about to set something up with his rear hand but how do I pounce on him? Thanks, dcarlota
Try parrying his lead hand if you can't,try feinting, example feint jab to the body and then cross to the head
Feint level changes, draw into attack (so you go first to initiate reaction and go third to exploit it), be on top to draw attacks to the body etc. Hand fighting is chess-like. Good luck.
A left handed south paw: no way. simply slip his jab to the outside and stick your left fist out. He'll run right in to it. Against another south paw fighter, catch and throw it back at the same time. Or get under his jab and bust your left hand in to his ribcage.
