If you block by lowering your hands to your rib cage, there’s an excellent chance they won’t even bother throwing to the body

    Catch them on the elbows

If you do it right it actually is painful for the thrower

And then as soon as you catch it..... Counter

Hatton used to feint to the head and then go to the body.

    Keep distance

Learn to be aggressive going backwards

    Reset your opponent

Move away from oppoments power hand

Learn to counter to discourage your opponent from attacking

Keep lead foot far in front, lower your centre of gravity and learn to get your own uppercuts in

That is very true, but my post was just meant to be a joke. I should’ve worded it better.
If you just keep your hands down around your midsection, they’ll only punch you in your ****ing face and body shots won’t be an issue

You need to learn how to roll and turn with the punches; that way they wrap around you and you aren't taking full impact when you block them. And moving your weight like that sets up your counters

What a lot of guys do is lay on the ropes and tighten up and they can absorb more in that way, yet they cannot get leverage back.
