What would Glen Johnsons fight with Lucian Bute produce from this altboxrec scenario.

Would Johnson then be able to say he beat Bute simply because he felt he was robbed after being shutout by 3 scorekeepers and the 20 million impartial fans scoring the fight. I could name 5 guys who had Johsnon beating Bute, but they were all Bute haterz. What if they were accidentally chosen as judges for this site.:rofl

And you call HIS IDEA utopian? LOL talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

If it gets big enough, it could get mentioned during televised fights, like the tweets and polls.

do it up man, it's a good idea but it ain't gonna happen unless you make the site. otherwise this is just another suggestion that never comes to fruition. It's your brainchild, no one else is gonna do it for you, make the site yo! Chalk me down as a judge, I score and keep records for every significant fight from 112-heavyweight.

What I want to know is how would they judge a fight where there is a supposed long count (Douglas-Tyson) or where they feel the fighter was out on his feet (Andrade-bute I) or head butting (ward-Kessler) this can influence a fight more than any 1 judge can. Especially if the other 2 are fair and unbiased

It's a great idea and you should really do it. I'll judge if you need me too.

The things you mention are referee-related. This proposal does not and cannot address those things.

I'm not sure it would have to involve the sanctioning bodies. The whole idea is that it subverts the sanctioning bodies and corrupt powers. It's a grass roots operation. If it succeeds in getting aggrieved fighters, boxing journalists, fans, etc. to take notice, then it achieves it purpose and may even put pressure on sanctioning bodies to crack down on corruption.

    I do this anyways.

I disregard official results in favour of my own scorecards and to be honest i'd dismiss even these consensus scores in favour of my own.

If you could somehow mirror the boxrec site (permission needed) it would be more user friendly especially if the alt results are highlighted.

I like the idea, would be good if you do stick with it.

Easier way to fix corruption in boxing.

Force Judges to answer for their scorecards and to have post fight press conferences. They have a BS excuse for why their scorecard sucks, make them famous for all the wrong reasons.
