How do we fix corruption in boxing? Launch an investigation into one of the sanctioning bodies? It's high time we started holding people accountable.

Have a panel to rate judges scorecards.

The likes of a glenn feldman after the last card he gave on should have to face a panel of judges where the public can watch him explain his decisions.
And then get banned for life if its more than a first time.

Let’s start with 1 sanctioning body first.

The impossible, merge all sanctioning bodies into one under the control of a neutral party. And make more rigid rules regarding ranking and title shots. Standardize judging and get them all on the same page as well as fans so we can stop crying foul over every close fight.

There would have to be a buy out of most of if not ALL the top fighters by one of the richest men or organization in the world.

One to control them all & force them to fight each other under Marshall law like a Dana White type.

Why didn't you ever hold Floyd accountable for his obvious PED use?

Is it true that MMA fighters don't duck and everyone fights the best? I've heard this over years, but don't follow MMA at all.

Judging, at least for all title fights, or maybe even for all 12 rounders:

    1. Have a much higher number of judges. Say 15.

    2. Do like they do in some olympic events where they toss out the highest and lowest scores.

    3. Also, to prevent favoritism, again do like they do in some olympic events and have judges all of different nationalities than the boxers.

    4. Judges found guilty of corruption are banned for life, fined a large amount, and may face criminal penalties.

There are some instances of budding mma stars not YET signed to the UFC
(Signed to Bellator, Invicta , etc.) …

but eventually their goal is ultimately to get to the UFC as it is the highest prestigious league for their sport. & once their they are forced to fight each other, it’s a beautiful thing.

i don’t even particularly care for MMA outside of this fact that the best typically fight the best in a combat sport.

They might want to first work out whether they are a sport or not.

Because in a sport that is even close to a real sport, you don't get to choose your opponents and then do 'negotiations' with them to see what advantages you can get.

Imagine if in tennis the A-side just chose from a selection of opponents in the slams and then did deals with them about how much time they got to prepare, what day/night the match was, what type of court, what racquet they could use, and how much money they got etc. And you could win the titles that way.
    It would be laughable.

Actually, already tennis is somewhat corrupted by money since the higher ranked players and/or stars do get better courts, preferred times and conditions sometimes(roof open or closed), draws and other privileges. But compared to boxing it looks like a neat and tidy little show.

Boxing isn't really very close to a 'fair' sport at all.

A very obvious thing as far as judging goes is how few key judges there are on the circuit. It's always these same shady selection of names in big fights. Having a bigger pool and a random lottery to select who judges championship fights would make it harder for them to be corrupted.

How to fix corruption in boxing, that my friends has been the question in boxing for many many decades, for a lot longer than most of us here have been alive.

Professional boxing is a business with a sporting theme, money, money, money.

Won't ever happen. The ABCs hold too much clout and power, not to mention make a mint w/ the current standard. Anything that legitimizes boxing would simply take away from them. They won't allow it.

I think it's the boxers themselves, as well as their managers that need to go into campaigns like when promoting a fight in case of obviously bad/corrupted judging or referee. In case they've no success, to boycott, so to say, every rule a sanctioning body has, disrupting their categories, fights etc.

Many bash Fury for his talking and behavior, but he was the one who made a big step in that before facing Wladimir - remember the ring story? He practically told to Wlad that if they don't fix it, the fight is gone like right before it happens. And Fury is crazy enough to do it. While when Pulev was claiming Wlad cheats in every possible aspect, no one paid attention to.
