- More Amateur fights on TV (WSB should get tv deal if they haven't already) - Cuban Style boxing camps where young fighters live, sleep, eat, learn (school) and train together - Less belts (obviously) - More using of past legends in commentary, training, appearances etc.
1 recognised title in each weight. Public votes pick the fights Neutral venues/refs/judges around the World in every fight. T.v stations bid to show the fights Injury happens? the guy ranked below gets the shot. Champs defend 2 times per year.
Obviously less belts. Bring pro boxing weight classes in line with amateur weight classes. Theres no need for 17 weight classes
This. Plus, immediate rematches if the judges see it different as the public anyway. Take away the inbetween weightclasses (Light welter/super feather/Light flyweight etc.)
don;'t think the weight classes are to much of an issue personally, maybe a few of the lower weights beyond bantamweight. Agree with the above though. Would like standardised drug testing too, ie twice during the build up to the fight + mandatory urine / blood test after the fight. Will hopefully stop the allegations / suspicions surrounding fighters, and won't be a stumbling block for any negotiating for fights.
More boxing on network TV, get rid of PPV, make the big fights on premium networks that are commercial free (instead of PPV). Penalize fighters for excessive hugging/clinching. I'm not talking about no clinching at all, it has to happen. When it is excessive take points away (looking at you Wlad, Kel).
15 round world title fights No more than two world champions in each division Same day weigh-ins Olympic standard drug testing and a minimum two year ban for a first offence then a minimum 5 year ban for a second and a 10 year ban for a third
Number one.....get the sport under a sanction or commissioner like every other damn sport:twisted::nut :smoke
