Hellow On Saturday i had my first boxing match after 3 months of training. My opponent had already one match and he was about 5 inches taller. I won that fight but i am not happy with my result. I could knock him out. I felt it. When i hit him with my right cross, he flew away absolutly disoriented and shaked. But I gassed out so i didn't go on him. I was just staying there and i was trying to take a breath. There were about six same situations like that. He was once counted but only to 8 seconds. Then he was recoverd. Same thing with my bobbing. First round he couldn't hit me. But always when i gassed out i couldn't focus on it so i got hit. May you tell me about some good training drills which i should do to be able to keep pressure on my opponent whole 3 rounds? Thank you guys . ANd sorry for my bad english.
800m runs before do 5x100m sprints and then 3x800m, every time try to run it in less then 3min Do it once in two weeks, like a test. Other days run in intervals for 3km, do the rope skipping, swimming etc.. when you are running try to push yourself. If you are comfortable when running, you are not gaining much. Of course, there are runs which use is to relax or warmup or something, but if you wanna better condition, you have to do it harder.
it simulates the boxing round. Your heart rate is similar when boxing and running 800m. Also, to run 800m for average athlete it takes little less then 3min, what is also similar to boxing round. Pause between runs is 1min like in fight. My friend is a representative, in camp they had running day 8x800m. Pause was more then 1min, but its still hard as ****. He managed to run it every time in less then 3min, beast
Yeah it is realy hard. I have already run it with my trainer and keep the time under 3 minutes after about 3 series is really hard... But I must say that next training was so much easier for me. I dont know if it was just because of what i ate but i think it was because of that 800 meters sprints. We ran it 5 times + 1km for warm up and 1km after those 800m's and 1 minute of pause between each series.
