As much as I would like to see Pavlik vs Calzaghe I want Pavlik to clear out middleweights first.

    # 1 I would have pavlik fight Giovanni Lorenzo in Pavlik midwest home coming.
    # 2 I would have Pavlik fight Sergio Mora in East L.A.
    # 3 I would have Pavlik fight John Duddy in New York City
    # 4 I would have Pavlik fight Arthur Abraham in Gemany
    # 5 I would have Pavlik fight Joe Calzaghe in Wales
    # 6 I would have Pavlik fight Mikkel Kessler in Denmark
    # 7 I would have Pavlik fight Lucian Bute in Canada
    # 8 I would have Pavlik fight Winky Wright in Vegas

I know it risky to fight guys on home tuff but really think doing so will make Pavlik a world wide star:good

That timescale isn't realistic. If Pavlik wants Calzaghe then it has to be soon. Fights against Lorenzo, Mora and Duddy are meaningless, I'd be disappointed if he preferred those.

He's really likeable. And from what I've heard he has a good following. I wonder how big of a superstar he'll become.

Virtually all of Abraham's recent fights have had American referees. Do they just become corrupt when they fly into Germany?

wait hold on, do you think thats the order pavlik should fight each man? if so, considering they fight once in 6 months, calzaghe probably die of old age. kessler will be long gone, and winkys children would have turned pro by then.

Pavlik wants to fight 4 times a year or every 3 months or so maybe every 2. He can fit Giovanni Lorenzo, Sergio Mora and John Duddy all in 6 month most likely all these fights will end around 5 rounds or so and not take too much out of Pavlik in 2008 then in 2009 he can fight Arthur Abraham, Joe Calzaghe, Mikkel Kessler and Lucian Bute:nono and be fighter of year for 2009:happy
As for Calzaghe not being around I don't buy he in the meantime fights Roy Jones and Carl Froch this guy is making to much money to give up boxing at the top of his game:yep

Duddy in New York or Mundine anywhere in America. The Calzaghe fight won't make Pavlik a star. He needs something that will get mainstream attention and that's either of the two fights above.

Calzaghe is not at the top of his game anymore. Stamina is going down, hands are finished. He's going down, slowly but surely. He should fight Pavlik now or never. He should fight Bute now or never. Both guys are strong and young.

Although it's sadly a little late, esp. for Joe's loyal fans, Joe is really becoming a BIG name in America now. Certainly after he shot down BHop on HBO. The Ring has had big feature articles on him in atleast 5 or 6 issues here lately and FNF's talks about him all the time, etc.

As poster booradley put it, one worry as a Pavlik fan would be, what if Pavlik should be able to pull off a win on Joe in Wales? Pav may as well go ahead and retire, because nothing he could do short of trying to win a title at HW or some **** like that could compare to that event.

Long made short, the rest of Pav's career would probably seem anti-climatic compared to that. Atleast as far as what's out there now.

It all depends on how his opponents are built up, lets say duddy beats a big name or 2 and really improves we could be talking a very big fight in a few years.

Get him on network tv. Not only is he a crowd pleasing fighter, but he's well spoken and likeable. It also doesn't hurt that he's a white guy. ;)

Lots of good matches at middle/supermiddle for Kelley.
I would add a few other good matches for Pavlik:
    1.Marco Antonio Rubio
    2.Anthony Mundine
    3. Librado Andrade
    4. Carl Froch
    5. Denis Inkin
    6. Rematch with Miranda
    7. Allen Green
    8. Raul Marquez
    9. Sakio Bika
    10. Andy Lee if he makes it back.

As Kellerman stated, great middleweights like Robinson, Monzon, and hagler cleaned out the division, all of the division.

It was worth clearing out then.
