Only the boxers can save the sport i think, why are the best boxers not working tohether in some sort?
If a lot of the real champions went together and made a Boxing Dogme that stated that boxers that fight for world championchip belts outside WBA, WBC and IBF after 01-01-08 will be banned for 24 month. That would help a lot and must be in the interest of the true champions!

 

Gatti is more well known because he has an poor defence than Joe Calzaghe is for being the best boxer of the last decade.

People do not care about good matchups (skillwise) anywhere near as much as they do about celebrity boxers in bar fights.
