How to tell who is going to win a Split Decision before its announced

    Whoever the announcer says won the first card, has lost.

    It's always

    Judge 1: For the loser
    Judge 2: For the winner
    Judge 3 For the winner.

    I can't remember the last time (if ever) it has been announced another way.

    Interesting side question then, can anyone find examples where an SD wasn't called like this? I can't think of any

    Ali / Norton was another exception. (both 1 and 2)

    Lamont Peterson / Amir Khan also.

    Kambosos / Lopez as well.
