Frans has fought everyone in boxing, all the best. He has fought the best in kickboxing with no kickboxing training. He has fought in MMA with no mma training. He is a rich white guy with blond hair who lives in South Africa. Frans is still fighting in his 40's against opponents half his age even though he doesnt need the money and is successful business man. He probably wrestles lions and swims with great white sharks down in Africa in his spare time. Hes that kinda guy
Sanders would win. But you have to give to credit to Botha he'd fight absolutely anyone I have no doubt about that. You cant say that about certain boxers. One who was whining and crying to espn "what if I lose" when they asked him about fighting a certain small little somone.
Hung with Lennox? You mean he was hanging on the ropes when Lennox almost knocked him out of the ring in the second round... he is still tough as nails and a true fighter at heart.
actually liked his style. it's a perfect example of how you dont need to know all the techniques as long as you know what you are trying to do. it's being 2 dimensional in his ability and 3 dimensional in his gameplan. hard fighter to outbox or out punch because he could be very hard to hit with minimal movement and could dance pretty well. had a crushing right hand and a decent jab. tough he was certainly but his knowledge of winning rounds is what is the hardest thing to fight about.
I would of liked to of seen Botha fight Tommy Morrison circa 94-95 when Botha was in his prime and just before Morrison got hiv. That woulda been a fun bout
I think Botha is/was a true badass. No the most talented or athletic, but one of the toughest and possible the bravest fighter to come along in many decades. One of the things that makes him standout is he never lost his confidence.
He is a man. No fear at all. He didn't hang with Lennox though, he got blasted. His fight with Micheal Moorer almost stole the show on Tyson-Holyfield...
