Fury cannot claim the wilder fight as a win as he refuses to accept big mc beat him That's going with his own logic Cannot have this mentality only when it suits and fits your agenda So which one is it A win v wilder handing over his unbeaten record or is he undefeated that was lucky to get up in the twelfth and see it out for a legit draw Fan boys in 3 2 1 But but but
Good article, it's a very legit arguement in my opinion, you can't claim to be the real champion without dethroning one. Fury done it when people thought Vlad was invincible and would go on for years still until Fury ousted him and freed up the division.
Are people completely forgetting that Fury tested positive for steroids shortly before the Wlad fight... His whole mental health story really glossed over the whole drugs ban.
Most people who follow boxing would say he's the best or second best heavyweight in the world. Or at worst, third best. So I wouldn't say he's underrated. I'd say he's very highly rated in fact.
I'll tell you something, the vast majority of boxers, even professional athletes in the top sports are on or have taken PED's. You are naive if you think otherwise. Even worse are the ones hiding behind a TUE - ie kicked the arse out of steroids for so long that their balls have partially shut down producing natural testosterone so now given an exemption to blast juice constantly. You know nothing on this and are deluded, oblivious to what is going on. I'll tell you now, there is a huge drug cheat in British heavyweight boxing, it's not Fury.
I’m at the point now where I don’t even consider it cheating as I assume elite athletes are all hammering gear. Everyone should be aware now that PED testing is useless. A PED test is not a drugs test anymore, it’s a way of testing an athlete & their teams carelessness or stupidity. Makes me laugh how people can believe that the first time an athlete gets caught is the first time they’d used PED’s. If it was a guaranteed 100% chance that you’d get caught then no one would ever use & get caught in the first place...
Don’t think he’s underrated, even his haters will admit he’s world class... I’d back him to beat Joshua and Wilder (again) while stinking out the joint. I am starting to turn into a hater though, fed up of his “fighting man” nonsense when he took the money over titles. His latest interview with behind the gloves was a painful listen, he just spouts crap, constantly contradicting himself...not even interesting or because he’s trying to sell a fight...just comes across as thick...maybe Wilder did lasting damage... Joshua may be a media robot but at least he talks with some kind of structure...
I don't think fans really give a **** about PEDS. Fury was a ****ing hero on that press run for the Wilder fight and after it. Nobody gives a crap really.
Not saying I am any different. My favourite fighter is Roy Jones Jr and I love watching Canelo, Toney etc.
I think Tyson Fury was hugely overrated after the so called Klitschko masterclass.... However against Wilder he showed heart and earned my respect. For me a fight with AJ will finally answer the how good is Fury question. AJ won’t be anywhere near as passive as Klitschko was and has much better fundamentals than Wilder so he won’t be as easy to outbox. Big factor is that it won’t happen for 18 months and Fury is at an age now where his style of boxing will begin to diminish, probably accelerated by his lifestyle. I think AJ will improve for a couple more years yet so I’m favouring an AJ win when they do meet.
I had Fury winning the fight but do think he would’ve spent the following month feeling like he’d been run over by a juggernaut. Now he’s been to that show he doesn’t fancy the rematch.
