In all fairness I dont think fans have the right to ***** about matchups. The **** I have seen behind closed doors is amazing. guys try and make fight and they just cant get made.:deal

Who knows what PBF was trying to do or how this fight came about. haters will hate no matter what a fighter does.:deal

Just IMO it was nothing like Wlad Leapai:good

The point is Wlad took a soft touch, Ali took soft touches at the end of hsi career, I'm not singling out Wlad, it's just a recent example.

Why don't you tell me Wlad was so eager to fight Leapai as you claim? A total nobody, zero drawing power, who took a guaranteed 20% purse in a mandatory defense!

Wlad would have never considered Leapai if it wasn't for the WBO forcing his hand.

i understand what you're saiyng, it's just my opinion that he could have avoided the fight if he truly wanted to, and the fact that they're both soft touches is what makes it similar.

when did I say he was so eager?

it was a soft touch, even great champs deserve soft touches once in a while.

Wlad has said numerous times he won't risk losing a belt in a court room or at the negotating table. He will honor all mandatory defenses, no matter how undeserving the opponent.

So you have to agree you brought up a really really really bad example to compare to the situation of Floyd vs. Berto. Floyd doesn't care about belts or mandatories. Wlad does.

You should have simply picked another fight, Wlad vs Leapai just doesn't work here to prove your point.

Lennox Lewis - at the end of his career - was trying to fight Kirk Johnson in his goodbye fight in 2003. That was a voluntary defense. That was at the end of a HOF career. That was a soft touch.

That would have been a better comparison :deal

Nope, it's not a bad example, because there's less than a 1% chance that he would lose the belt. Also how is it possible for him to honor all mandos, if he has 4 belts, and you're required to defend your mando every 8-9 months? He obviously hasnt.

Jennings wasn't terrible. Compared to the guys Floyd fights he is, but Jennings is a top heavyweight.
