Oh btw: I though the Leapai fight was horrible. Terrible mismatching. I didn't bother watching the fight. But I blamed the WBO, not Wlad.

yep. leapai was a complete joke, worse than Berto and you know how much I've shat on that fight already. It jsut annoys me when I see other fans doing it, yet they dont hold their guy to the same standard.

Why did you not bring up Wlad - Pianeta. This was voluntary defense and Pianeta was as bad and undeserving as Leapai. Leapai is a terrible example as he was mandatory.

Berto isn't terrible, he's about the same level as Mohammedi, but the catch is Floyd is choosing to fight Berto if he does (I'm still not convinced he will), Kovalev unfortunately has to fight Nads.

Disagree, Berto is better than Mohammedi, but unlike floyd's draw, or Wlad's draw and his long ass reign, he doesnt have the pull the 2 of them do. So I dont mind it either. I'll only hold guys like Pac, Floyd, Wlad, Froch(when he was active) to that standard.

    answer this
Also how is it possible for him to honor all mandos, if he has 4 belts, and you're required to defend your mando every 8-9 months? He obviously hasnt.

It's simple. Wlad loses the belt if he doesn't defend it against the mandatory. Leapai, as bad as he is, beat Boytsov. The guy should get credit for that, but people want to blast him. If Boytsov would have won, then it would appear to be a good win for Wlad.

Berto has lost a few times and isn't a mandatory.

If Wlad gets the WBC belt, then he will be the 1st HW to hold all of the major belts (i.e. WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO & Ring).

Pianeta had an undefeated record after 26(?) fights.

If he had 4 belts he would likely get stripped by the WBC at the very least. But he would hold the belts for a while, at least a few months. I think his goal is to make history to be a 4 belt undisputed HW champ, even if only for a short time. Probably a perk that won't be broken for a long time in HW boxing.

What do you mean if he ahd 4 belts? He does have 4 belts. IBO, WBA, IBF, and WBO. All 4 of these sanctioning bodies require mandos, so how is he honoring all of his mandos, if he clearly isn't fighting 4 times ayear?

Please, don't put me in a position that I have to criticize Wlad. But picking Pianeta as a voluntary defense was the worst I could have imagined from Wlad.

26-0 over TOTAL tomato cans should get you into world title contention. This cherrypick of Wlad's was awful and unforgivable. At least Wach had physical size next to a tomato can record. Pianeta had nothing to offer. And I am saying that as a Wlad fan who is highly respectful of the man's career!

Wlad has only fought twice a year in 2013, 14, and 15. He clearly hasn't honored the rules of mandos being enforced every 8-9 months, so why would he get stripped?
