First of all I want to say that I didn't expect Haye to win the fight at all, but a decision in Germany is phenomenal. Secondly, some people have started saying that the fight was exactly the same as the Froch v Dirrell fight - how wrong can you be? Haye and Valuev clinched twice in the whole fight and Valuev forced them. Haye had a hurt hand from the second round (I know that's a bogus excuse as it could be a lie) Haye is 6ft3 and Valuev is 7ft and Valuev is 7 stone heavier than Haye. That's why heavyweight boxing is different and why it was the best and most watched division in the sport - the size differences you can get are amazing. Haye is waking everybody up now by beating a giant champion. You can't go head to head against someone with that much going against you. Sure, people want to see head to head action, but with that much of a difference people want to actually see how someone can win and Haye did that. With Froch and Dirrell the weight difference was extremely tiny and Dirrell is actually an inch taller than Froch. Haye didn't clinch or fall over the floor to avoid punches, he stayed on his feet and became the first man to 'wobble' the giant. I seriously don't care if anyone flames me for this - I know I'm right.
Im english, I understamd how Froch got the decision against Dirrell but I thought he lost, though I understand why he got the decision cause the home town thing. I had the worries tonight about Haye as the fight went on cause Valuev was coming forward landing nothing and Haye was going back landing little. Buts the difference is that Froch got the hometown decision cause he was trying to force things a lot more than Valuev. End of the day neutrals should be happy cause Haye is good for the HW div, haters slate him for his trash talk but dont mentions the fact that he has publcily said that he wants to fight for the HW titles straight away cause he knows at this weight anyone knock him out if he gets caught clean.
