Anyone have a feeling this fight will be more violent and high action than your standard Floyd AND Alvarez fight? You knew **** was going to get live soon when Floyd came out to the 2 Chainz Riot song for the Cotto fight.
If Floyd of the Guerrero fight shows up, it's not going to be action packed at all. It'll be a clinic. Making a guy like Alvarez, who already has a tiny gas tank at 154, dry out even further to make 152 is going to shrink that tank even further. Maybe 4 rounds of competitive boxing before Floyd starts potshotting. Canelo was 159.2 a week out from Trout. I hope he's in shape because this fight is probably won at the scale.
No. Its going to be a Floyd vs De la Hoya 2 kind of fight Being a big Floyd fan I was initially worried for him, but now that I have had time to think about it I see Alvarez wilting by round 8 (at the latest), and Mayweather totally taking over from there. But I DO NOT see it being an all out war at any point. Floyd has to keep smart and not take any big punches. Going to war with someone that hits harder, and is stronger than you is just silly when you have such great defensive skills.
Yeah this is going to be a highly skilled game of cat and mouse for the first few rounds till canleo runs out of gas.
It doesn't have to be an all out war to get violent if the right punches are picked at the right time. Canelo can get very aggressive without being reckless at times during fights, and if Floyd chooses to stand and trade at any point, we could have a tasty little scrap.
This fight won't be violent. Canelo is not that type of fighter although he is a silent killer in the ring.
