Hector Camacho's hand speed at 130-135 makes Floyd look slow

Okay, that's an exaggeration, but Camacho was faster than Floyd.

Camacho's hands were quicker than Mayweather, especially with the combos.

Mayweather was brilliant at exploiting openings. He'd see an opening and jump on it and make the guy pay. But he couldn't let his hands go in combination with the speed that Camacho did.

    Camacho's speed was ridiculous.

    Agreed-
I think that his speed has dwindled at higher weights. But, I think also, he still has remarkable speed even there!! He is PROBABLY the fastest at 154 and 147 but he is DEFINITELY the fastest 140 and below!!

Jose Luis Ramirez was a very good fighter. Bazooka Limon, well I guess he was ready for the taking.

    Camacho's speed was insane.

It's a shame how he wasted his talent.

There's a number of guys throughout history with better speed (especially of hand) at 140 and above.

I agree with Mayweather when he says his intelligence plays a bigger part in his success than his speed. He knows when to throw, when to avoid and counter, where to position himself, how to negate his opponent's best weapons, etc...

Mayweather's hand speed never blew me away. His all-around abilities did.

But you see what I like about Floyd is his composure and economic and accurate and precise punch output in the ring and his thought process. thats what makes him different not just the physical tools which is good though as evidenced in this highlight of his fight with ndou

Often with his combinations, Floyd doesn't even try to be that fast. Meaning, he doesn't care about throwing a real quick fluid 3-4 punch combo. He's more concerned about accuracy. Other guys will throw a 1-2-3-4 combo.

Mayweather will often throw a 1-2..3..4.

He waits until he sees the opening. Combos are about creating and exploiting openings, but obviously it's very hard to land 4 straight punches in a quick fluid combo. So Mayweather sometimes pauses in the middle of a combo and then throws, to increase his accuracy. Brilliant stuff.
