How was Trinidad able to ko Joppy with ease yet couldn't vs. a smaller man (Mayorga)?

you must not have known about Mayorga's granite chin leading into that fight

 

I think Joppy just got beat again in Canada yesterday.

 

mayorga's chin was better than joppys.end of.why couldnt frazier knock down bugner when he did ali?suspect?dont be stupid.

 

Also, take into consideration that Mayorga was never KD before the Trinidad fight if I recall it correctly. So he definately had a much better chin.

VargaS done before Tito???? are u serious? Funny how a LOT of ppl discredit Tito's wins against these two (Vargas and Mayorga) but they glorify Oscar's wins over the same guys, only after Tito already broke them apart!!

 

Tito didn't have his special hand wraps against Mayorga.

 

And yet he still managed to massacre an iron-chinned fighter who had never been knocked down before.

 

Mayorga could take punishment and Tito had to dissect him with accurate punches and went to the body to do the job. Mayorga's resistance was anything but ordinary but after those years of punishment it declined a little but he was still able to take hard shots from DLH & Mosley before getting stopped by them. And to add to that Joppy wasn't as physically tough as Ricardo.

 

As much as I dump on Mayorga the guy could take a shot.

Could it be that some fighters in lower weight division have better durability than some fighters in higher weight divisions? Could it be that some fighters in lower weight divisions punch harder than some fighters in higher weight divisions? Could it be that some fighters in lower weight division are technically better boxers than some fighters in higher weight divisions? do you get the point? Well, what I’m trying to get at is you must be ****ing thick as **** not to realise every boxer is different regardless of their size. ****inghell.
