How washed up will Kovalev be against Canelo?

After a grueling fight 2 weeks ago in which he was almost stopped can Kovalev recuperate and get back into fighting shape within the next 7 weeks? I'm most certain his body is aching too bad to do more than 20 crunches so how does he get his roadwork in and cut weight? What about jump rope, and sparring? Can Kovalev make a quick turnaround and be effective enough to make the fight competitive and why would he give Canelo so much leverage?

There was a time when mostly men discussed boxing. Children and women would watch and appreciate boxing too, but since talking boxing wasn't as accessible as it is today it was mostly men talking about boxing at work, the barbershop, bars, and other social places including boxing forums in the early 2000s.

Back then a washed up fighter was someone like Leonard when he fought Camacho, Meldrick Taylor against Wayne Martell, Whittaker against Trinidad.

Today we live in an era where fans will dismiss you if you have one or two losses or if you're not peaking despite still being prime, despite holding world titles.

Kovalev despite being on the downside of his prime is still a force and is still an elite top LHW. That is what we know of him.
