How well does Oleksandr Usyk do against Evander Holyfield's opposition at CW/HW?

Usyk and Holyfield are the only fighters to claim an undisputed title at Cruiserweight and also became champion at Heavyweight, as well as challenging for the undisputed title at Heavyweight which Holyfield was unsuccessful while Usyk managed to pull it off.

As great as Usyk is right now there's no doubt that Holyfield's resume is far superior and littered with greater fighters IMO. If you were to place Usyk in Holyfield's place how well does he do against Holyfield's list of opponents that he's faced over the years leading up to Lennox Lewis? Is it possible that Usyk can remain unbeaten or are there fighters that can likely beat him?

The amount of fighters that Holyfield has faced is practically insane given that he's fought fighters such as Dwight Muhammad Qawi, George Foreman, Larry Holmes, Riddick Bowe, Mike Tyson, Michael Moorer, Lennox Lewis. Hard to envision Usyk going through them without taking a loss in the process.

His biggest test would be Qawi he'd struggle against Qawi even though he wasn't as good at Cruiserweight his relentless pressure would still pose a stylistic problem for Usyk

I think Usyk would dominate Holyfield's cruiser era with ease. Qawi would be the only tough fight but IMO Usyk beats him.

Heavy? He beats Dokes and Douglas with ease (the Douglas who showed up looking for a paycheque unlike the motivated one vs Tyson).

Usyk beats old George. Unlike Holyfield, he isn't going to slug it out with the bigger man. Foreman may stun him once or twice with a left hook or right hand but this version of Foreman does not have the speed (unlike the young one) to go after Usyk. Usyk beats old George by comfortable UD, 10-2.

Usyk also beats Holmes with ease. Larry's jab would be far less effective vs a southpaw and Usyk would regularly hurt Larry with big lefts. Usyk by comfortable UD.

IMO Bowe would give Usyk a hard fight. But i think Usyk is smart enough to stay on the backfoot and win a competitive decision. He won't trade with Bowe unlike Holyfield. Usyk 7-5 or 8-4.

I think Mercer and Moorer would be interesting fights. I don't think Mercer has the work rate but i could see him pressuring Usyk and giving him a hard fight. And Moorer wasn't as defensively smart as Usyk. But Usyk would be facing a fellow leftie which would take away some of his natural advantages that he enjoys vs orthodox guys. Still, i think Usyk outpoints Moorer.

Tyson is a bad stylistic match up for Usyk but 96 Tyson was a 4-5 round fighter. I could see Usyk absorbing some heavy blows early and then wearing Mike down. Unlike the young Tyson who could sustain a good pace for 12 rounds (Ruddock 2, Tucker), this Tyson was merely a 4-5 round fighter. I think Usyk beats the 96 Tyson albeit while taking some heavy punishment along the way.

I honestly don't see any of Holyfields 1989-97 opponents beating Usyk. However, if he faced them over an 8 year period, he is likely bound to have an off night somewhere. And a guy like Bowe or even post prison Tyson could take advantage of that.

Lewis, Bowe and Moorer should win. I'll pick pre 94 Foreman but not post 94 cause after Moorer he never gets another knockdown. Tysons a wild card it comes down to if Tyson can have success early. He'd either have that success or he'd lose a 10-2 sorta decision.

I think Buster Douglas can beat Usyk but not the one that fought Holyfield same goes for Pinklon. Of everyone else at HW Ibragimovs got the best chance. Valuev shouldn't do much worse than Fury but he should lose. If Usyk was the same age as Holyfield I guess I'd pick Valuev. Ocasio and Qawi would be good fights.

Usyk v Holyfield would be a close decision where the loser got their 5 rounds.

Quawi could beat Usyk at Cruiser.

At heavy Bowe of the first Holyfield fight would be tall order. Very fluid offensively and bigger puncher than Fury on flip side much easier to hit Bowe and Bowe had a low ring IQ.

Douglas was too out of shape to hang with Usyk in second half of a fantasy fight with Usyk. And if Holy could nail Buster with Counters so could Usyk.

    Moorer would choke

    Old Foreman loses every round
96 Tyson would be dangerous for 5 rounds. And would probably be up 4-1 or something but could he hang in there for rest of fight. Usyk probably couldn’t hurt him like Holy but overwhelm him maybe.

Mercer wouldn’t be able to find Usyk
