If Ortiz was the same age as Bowe and fought during Bowe`s era how would have fared?
You can answer either question as they are similar and ask the same question how does Bowe compare to Wilder via the Ortiz fight and Bowe`s fights?

Carlos Ortiz? The guy that fought Ken Buchanan? Considering he was a light weight and in his 60's pretty sure he would of died in the ring before he even got to Holyfield.

A lightweight versus heavyweights? Not so good.

Are you thinking of Luis Ortiz perhaps?

Ah OK OP meant Luis Ortiz. Honestly he might not of gotten past the Tony Tubbs Bowe fought. Tubbs was a decent mover and with Ortiz being a very stationary fighter I see him getting out boxed, but of course with his power he could turn the fight his way.

Even if he gets past Tubbs the 92 Holyfield would batter him. I think Golota could of beaten him too had he not imploded as he was inclined to do. Hide would of had a punchers chance but his chin is so bad I can't see him KOing Ortiz before Ortiz KO's him first.

Ortiz is built up as some mythical monster that is avoided by everyone, he's basically the heavyweight Golovkin lol. But in reality he's nothing special. A good fighter yes but he isn't as good as his fans or Wilder fans make out to be.

He wasn't even the top Cuban amateur, he only once won a Cuban national title in 2006 and came 2nd twice and 3rd twice. Mike Perez went 1-1 with him losing the first time when he had recently moved up in weight, Solis was the best Cuban heavyweight at the time and beat Ortiz a bunch of times, 7 times in fact I believe.

Even after Solis turned pro Ortiz wasn't the best Cuban heavy as Robert Alfonso won the Cuban national title in Ortiz's last 2 years as an amateur. Basically Ortiz was always the 2nd or 3rd best Cuban Super heavyweight which is why nobody was clamouring to sign him when he turned pro.

If you mean Luis Ortiz, he would have at least a 50/50 chance against all of them except for Holyfield.

But prime in shape Holyfield from 89-93 was a phenomenal fighter, he would beat most heavyweights in the history
of the sport and would beat all of the current heavyweights.

He wouldn't. Ortiz would be a top guy in the 2000s and he would be a decent contender in the 70s, 80s and 90s.
Unlike you and a lot of other guys i have watched everything, Ortiz is formidable enough to give most of them problems.

A 6'4 southpaw counterpuncher with great fundamentals and power wouldn't be a bum in any era.

I honestly haven't seen enough of Ortiz to say whether he's a great fighter or not. He's got power and some ability but you could say that of Bert Cooper as well. Given the way he gassed I think a durable, busy fighter like Coetzer would probably outpoint him.

    Holyfield 28-0
    Dokes 50-3-2
    Ferguson 19-9
    Holyfield 29-1
    Donald 16-0
    Hide 26-0
    Gonzalez 23-0

That was Bowes title fights and tbh it's a pretty dire read besides Holyfield.

Throw in Coetzer, Thomas and Seldon and tbh I'd favour Ortiz over everyone not named Holyfield.

Not saying Ortiz is great but when you look at Bowes opposition it's not all that great itself.

He doesn't look 6'4" to be honest, maybe a shade over 6'3". Malik Scott looked more than an inch taller than him and Wilder had 4 inches on him if not more.

He'd be giving up a fair amout of weight, but he is a hall-of-famer, so who knows?
