Tucker was garbage when Hide fought him. I imagine Don King had something to do with it.

I don't see how he was garbage. A prime Ruiz took 11 rounds to get to him a year later with another year on the clock. Hide is the only ko loss on his sheet until then. Tucker was over the hill but far from garbage.

I can't think of a single fighter who Ruiz took out early.

Nobody demolished Tucker in his career except Hide is the point so calling him garbage age 38 is indeed just that - garbage to belittle Hide.

I don't know what your definition of garbage is, but Tucker's last good win was McCall in 92.

How does that make him garbage? McCall knocked out Lewis. What the hell has Ortiz's best win Jennings done in the game? Talking sheit pal.

Holmes fought at top level well into his forties.

Sanders is a hard read, in that he was either heavily avoided or only chose to fight top guys on occasion.

Lewis certainly defended against lesser fighters than Sanders.

Bowes only big wins were Holyfield. the same guy who went <500 or worse against every top flight guy he faced, aside from shot Foreman and Tyson.

Are you drunk? Tucker's last good win was in 92. That indicates that he was done by the time Hide fought him in 98.

He had a very good career for somebody garbage then. Two-time heavyweight champion.
