How well would Wilder have done in the 70's, 80's and 90's?

In the 70s he was the champion of Leon Spinks, in the 90s he was the champion of Bruce Seldon. The 80's are known for the "lost generation of the 80's". Wilder would be a Top 10 HW in all three decades.

I mean Wilder somewhat held his own against the greatest HW of all time so he won't do too bad.

He had a skill of looking like he's about to fall over but manages to stay upright also.

Frazier would have stopped him with counter hooks cause he stays on the line after punching, Ali might have been the only fighter that could take his power flush, Foreman would have struggled v a fighter with longer arms, Holmes would have beat Wilder but Wilder destroys everybody else in the 70`s, Tyson would have blitzed Wilder, Holmes wa still great in the early 80`s but Wilder destroys everyone else in that decade, most fighters in the 90`s just got by on athleticism which might not have been enough v Wilder, Holyfield was great and the Holy that beat Bwe might have beat Wilder but Wilder`s reach would have been a problem, Lewis might have knocked Wilder out and Moorer was more skilled but too frail, I think Wilder would have held a title in the 90`s and would have destroyed any WBO champ in that decade.

Exactly, you can't base a boxers ability on the hypothesis of what they could do. It has to be based off qualify of opposition, it's why the likes of Wilder and to a lesser extent Fury are still unproven to me. Compared to the ATG's their records are **** poor.
Being big or a big puncher doesn't mean shite unless that's been tested against the best in any given era.
That shouldn't be conflated with them not being able to beat fighters in other eras, my point being there's little proof they could hang, we judge from what an individual has actually achieved not what they "could" do.
