How will all of you feel if Diaconu hands a beatdown to both Branco and Johnson?

Just curious:think I'm not trying to start a Dawson-Diaconu fiasco thread, just curious of your opinions if this does infact happen.

Pleasantly surprised.

Diaconu should really beat Branco, but I don't think he's good enough to beat Johnson given their respective styles, streanghts and weaknesses. In short, Johnson's chin, pressure, workrate and stamina will be a bit too much for Diaconu, who struggles with very poor stamina and fairly low workrate. If Diaconu wins, he's quite a bit better than I think he is, currently.

Diaconu has a better chance against Dawson than against Johnson, I think. Johnson is pretty much the worst opponent for Diaconu, I'd say!

We'll see.

I'll say this, though. If Diaconu can beat Johnson than sure as hell he can beat Dawson!

No matter what Dicanou does or does not do, Chad Dawson is a punk ***** for running from fighting him.

They'd be excellent wins, no doubt. If he beats Johnson soundly, that certainly will make it harder for others to dodge him, especially after their own struggles with Johnson.

I wouldn't mind seeing Chris Henry fight Dawson, either, to see how Dawson does with a guy who gave Dicanou a very tough run.

 

I agree totally If Adi can win clearly against Johnson wouldnt it almost make a Dawson fight a must?......
After the Diaconu fight Henry sounded awfully discouraged saying "I guess I'll just defend my NABF belt." He didnt sound all that determined or confident but Henry-Dawson would be a great fight

 

Good post I thought that about Diaconus stamina as well but then learned that he fought Henry with strep so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt for now..
I agree Johnson is the toughest fight for Diaconu but feel that Adi wont have much trouble counter punching the somewhat methodical and predictable Johnson....I would pick Adi by UD based on clean effective punching..If he KOs Johnson I would be surprised...pleasantly no doubt even though Johnson is one of my favorite fighters

 

Well the options are a bit weird cuz Johnson is a top level fighter,so if he beats him you can't vote for the second option just by it's nature.Anyway Diaconu can do it,hope both fights will be in Romania or if not in USA

Branco is so old he´s often called Methusalem in his home town And Johnson isn´t the youngest either. Wouldn´t prove much, Branco isn´t worldclass and Johnson could go from worldclass to shot anyday.

 

Oh come on,when Dawson fights the old guys he gets credit while Diaconu doesn't? :-(
