How will all of you feel if Diaconu hands a beatdown to both Branco and Johnson?

The correlation between KO% and power can be misleading, as you very well know. Calzaghe has a high stoppage % and he's hardly a puncher, nor could he afford to be one, with his hands...

...If Diaconu had better stamina and could increase his work-rate by 10%, he'd have a much higher KO percentage.

It is ridiculous to argue Tarver hits harder. What are you basing this theory on?

He doesn't need to go and KO everybody, they were trying to make him box more then and about Thysee,he has a monster chin, absolute granite

Why not? Those were two of his last four fights. It's not like this is ancient history. These are C and D level opponents with known shaky chins who he couldn't knock out within the past two years. Someone with incredible brute strength who knew how to use it in the ring would have knocked them out, period, and Diaconu didn't.

Either way, we'll see how he does against Branco, who's been knocked out cold by guys without great power.

I'll admit, I was pushing buttons when I said Tarver punches harder. Check my old posts, I do think Diaconu has more punching power, just he doesn't seem to use it in the ring that much, because he loses too much speed when he pivots into his punches. Based on what he's actually accomplished in fights, I'd still say you're overrating his power.

Because, just as thunder told you, they tried to tone his all-out style down a bit, to make him box a bit more (he is a good boxer), concentrate more on defence, etc. instead of going full out for the KO all the time. The reason they felt they needed to do that was because against a fighter like Dawson, for example, you also need to box and defend and some people you're just not going to be able to KO. As you step up in class, you need to add more strings to your bow. They did exactly the same thing with Bute - he's become more boring as a result, but a better fighter overall. It's the way Larouche and Bouchard do things.

It's actually why Larouche doesn't commit 100% into training Diaconu anymore.
And man change the damn avatar,I can stop laughing when I see him with his cap,bling-bling and that mad look,it's just so...it's..''simply the best'':rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

It will be great if he hands a beatdown to both of these. but to to be honest I think he WILL beat Branco as he is well past it, not sure it will be a total beatdown but he should win easy enough. However if he goes in with Glen Johnson he will be KO'd !

I would feel...nothing. But I'd be impressed if he managed the latter.

Unfortunately he wouldn't. Not if Johnson performs to the level he did last time.
