With pharm-to-table steaks from Clenelo Meat Company, don't be surprised if we see a fitter, happier, and more productive Andy.

He won’t do any better. His career ended when he beat AJ.

Sad but this may be true. The guy has shown he lacks discipline. Sometimes the worst thing to happen to someone is success.

I hope he does better, but it will have to be consistent and for a long time.

Fury has the Wilder rematch. Then he has to fight Dillion Whyte. Joshua had mandos agianst Pulev and Usyk. Somewhere in there, they would like to fight each other.

By the time that all sorts out, Hrgovic and the winner of Dubois-Joyce will be ready to to, and there will other retreads like Parker.

It could be a LONG time before he gets an opportunity. He needs to be ready to seize the reins with both hands.

Andy overachieved. It was certainly trendy to say "IIIIII knew how good Ruiz was all along!!" a year ago, but let's be realistic:

Only hardcore fans knew who Ruiz was and how skilled he is. Of course he was underrated.

Every idiot who doesn't watch boxing in the UK knows who Joshua is. Of course he's overrated.

We are then left with the situation where Ruiz was both underrated and isn't that good. He wasn't ready to be the man of the division because he never will be ready. He fed (hah) hugely off people not rating him despite his ability to mix in with the elite, which is totally fair. Once he WAS the elite, that underdog spirit was extinguished.

I think Marie Osmond with the Nutrisystem would have a better chance training Ruiz.

He will come in at 225lbs, up on his twinkle toes, dancing round the ring like Ali, "pop pop pop" lighting hands, Bob and weave.

    Ruiz mk 2 DESTROYS joshua

He has access to Canelo's magicians. No need to Ariza or Memo.

I think he's going to take a lot of losses if he fights the top twenty.
In a way AJ exposed him because anyone longer will probably just try to box and move if they have some skill, avoiding counters and combos in the pocket. But the matchmakers will also try to avoid people like that and want brawlers or unskilled lumps.

Consider the rating list from Boxrec.
I think Ruiz loses to every single guy in the top 10.
And I think he loses to almost everybody in the top 20, except perhaps Washington and maybe a gassing Ortiz. Yes, I think Martin beats him because he is rangier and can box a bit!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say I don't rate Taco tits too highly. But seriously, Ruiz fans should take a look at this list and be honest with themselves. Is he really going to fight these guys and even get to a .500 win percentage? I would be shocked if he could beat the majority of these fighters.

    1 Tyson Fury 1095
    2 Deontay Wilder 659.9
    3 Anthony Joshua 553.1
    4 Oleksandr Usyk 318.0
    5 Alexander Povetkin 230.0
    6 Andy Ruiz Jr 202.6
    7 Dillian Whyte 198.7
    8 Michael Hunter 142.6
    9 Dereck Chisora 99.45
    10 Luis Ortiz 82.31
    11 Joe Joyce* 71.90
    12 Joseph Parker 71.59
    13 Kubrat Pulev 65.54
    14 Oscar Rivas 56.94
    15 Charles Martin 52.54
    16 Robert Helenius 43.50
    17 Adam Kownacki 41.80
    18 Daniel Dubois* 38.05
    19 Gerald Washington 31.14
    20 Martin Bakole

Depends. If he has an ounce of dignity and self respect then he will give it 1000% and make people believe again.

History dictates that this move will end like the rest: Not well.

Ruiz isn't accountable, so he will always suffer.

You can have the best of everything, but if you lack the discipline to make the most of those gifts/tools, you might as well not have them.

Andy has a food addiction, he talks like so many obese people I know. When he talks about food it’s like an addict talking about drugs or an alcoholic talking about beer. Maybe being around more disciplined Mexican fighters will inspire him.
