How will Audley approach the Haye fight? I think Harrison is going to get destroyed dont get me wrong, but if he is to have a chance of winning, what should he do, what will he do to combat what Haye brings? Personally I dont think he can afford to sit back and wait on Haye, he does that he will most probably get annihilated, cause not only is Haye quicker, Audley is slow, has the defense of a battered house wife, and does not have the chin to withstand Haye's power. Audley is nearly 40, so its a given that his reflexes are going to have eroded, now as I say, he was never particularly quick to begin with, so sitting back waiting for counters is going to get him canvased imo. If I were in Audley's camp, I would be telling Harrison to back Haye up, fight aggressively from behind the jab, but the cut the ring off whilst doing it, this might somehow negate his aged reflexes if he is the one getting off first, plus, it might make Haye's extra speed, less of a factor, then again, I dont think Harrison has the stomach, or the appetite to fight that kind of fight, his whole persona is too laid back and screams, no fire in his belly. With all that said, I can see him doing the former and getting destroyed, all he these days is sit around looking for a counter left hand that never comes whilst dropping rounds due to inactivity.
He will get in the ring and get his china chin knocked the **** out in 2 rounds. That will be his approach.
They probably think the only guy out there apart from audley that could beat haye is wlad so they will be trying to adopt the jab all night. i doubt there be telling audley to push for the ko because haye is to clever to walk into that trap
The flaw in this entire analysis is that people assume Audley is able to devise a game plan and *EXECUTE IT*. He can't. Audley is unable to execute whatever his team tells him. He will feel as lost and helpless inside the ring as an emo kid shrieking for help in a hardcore mosh pit.
The big question is; what will be Haye's appoach?! Will he use the safety first method he used on SNV and Ruiz, or will he go all out for the KO? Option 1 may get him into trouble, carrying Audley over the rounds increasing the chance of a sudden hailmary. Option 2 will give Audley a 1 in 10-15 chance winning with a lucky punch, but he probably will be destroyed within 4 rounds.
I honestly don't think it matters - there is nothing Audley can do to avoid being ko'd. I don't think I've ever seen a fighter who freezes-up so much whenever a little pressure is applied on him, so his best best is probably to try and push Haye back but that will just lead to him eating a big punch. If the first one doesn't flatten him, it'll ceratainly bring out the ***** in him - he'll immediately go into his shell, take a beating and get stopped.
I agree with you, although the only reason im making a case of what he should/might do, is cause if all he has is a punchers chance, then go looking for that punch, dont sit back waiting to counter the quicker Haye's attacks, that would be stupid imo. If Harrison only has a 5% chance, that 5% is not letting Haye take it to him with Harrison waiting to set him up.
I am hoping and predicting at least 5 rounds. It had better be.......My Girlfriend surprised me with tickets to the event, and its a 4 hour drive to Manchester. Time before that she got me tickets to the Khan Salita fight! If this one is not a minimum of 4 rounds i might have to go Floyd mayweather on her arse! Seriusly thought i think Audley is stuffed whatever he does. He cant out brawl or Outbox Haye.
Audley will get hit once in the first round by only a medium punch, then reality will set in and he will do what he ALWAYS does. NOTHING. Haye will then proceed to tee off on him till the ref stops it or Audley is unconcious. All in all it will last about 3 rounds max.
It doesn't matter what Harrison does or works on in training camp...or what gameplan he is given. He fights scared, and against an explosive puncher in Haye...I'm going to assume he is going to do the same. I would be very surprised if Harrison takes the centre of the ring.
