Pacs angles would make Floyds jab a far less potent weapon IMO.

Then it's swarming time. Down the stretch Pac would be in better shape IMO and would win on points, 8-4 or something like that. If nothing else will volume will catch the judges eyes.

Agree but I think even if he does hurt him in the early going he still goes on to win. I don't think Manny has a shot as big as Mosleys in is locker either.

its the footwork Manny couldn't deal with. the guys he has beat up recently like margo, cotto, clottey, hatton just come forward and bang. thats why I like the Mosley fight. maybe he is shot but he offers something different and can still get around the ring.

He could jab and pot shot just the same. He rarely had to defend punches though, because he was rarely in range. He didn't circle or evade either, he'd be in range until his opponent threw and then his feet would get him out and back in enough that with his hand speed and two-fisted power he could bamboozle even quality veterans as well as fellow Elites.

Roy was on another Planet. As I say, best I've ever seen when he was on his game. He'd toy and destroy people below him, and either toyed with or destroyed his best opposition (former, Toney, latter, Hill)

You're well off the mark here. Cotto didn't just cone forward and bang. Once Pacs fast feet closed the distance enough Cotto had no choice but to either trade or survive. He couldn't do the latter (couldn't counter Pacs handspeed) and was resigned to trying the latter.

Mosley has always been a straight on guy. He can no longer pull the trigger either, so even if he does cut off Manny, whose footspeed is better than Shanes has ever been (Shane is just a fast slugger and has no footwork) Shane won't do much. Shane is also a guy who needs people to come right at him. Shanes hands are not exactly held high either. This is the worst matchup out of all of Mannys recent ones.

Also, Floyd looks dynamic against straight on fighters. Not southpaws with angles and very fast hands who has the chin/toughness not to be dissuaded by sporadic punching.

F'n Hell, the De La Hous fight was far closer. IIRC correctly Oscar wins the first five.

Whichever way you look at it, it's not a particularly impressive win.

I had it 116-112 for PBF IIRC.

Tbh i felt pretty convinced he won when final bell was sounded. ODLH lost the fight from middle rounds onwards.

yeh. the rounds DLH won were close ones to. the only ones i gave to mayweather that could go the other way were the 1st and last. I can see 115-113 Mayweather at best for DLH
