Round 1: The fighters come out of their respective corner and straight away Alvarez walks into a huge right looping hook by Angulo. Alvarez seems staggered and dazed, the crowd explodes and Alvarez retreats into the ropes where Angulo unleashes a hellacious body attack, smothers Alvarez and finally breaks through his defense, hitting him with a series of about 10-12 unanswered power shots to the head, the towel comes flying into the ring while the referee throws himself between the furious Angulo and the unconscious Alvarez trying to save the Redhead from more permanent damage. Alvarez leaves the ring on a stretcher, still unconsciuos, a crying ODLH holding his head while Angulo celebrates his victory with his team before calling out the winner of Martinez-Cotto and Mayweather.
Canelo will come out in the first round as southpaw trying to confuse Angulo. Angulo slips over Canelo's feet and the ref calls a knockdown, much to the dismay of Virgil Hunter, who's wise-sounding pines of indignation give shivers to many viewers and upset dogs everywhere who run to check on their puppies. Angulo beats the count and stands in the centre of the ring to give Canelo a free shot at his chin, just to prove he can't be hurt. Angulo bobs and weaves for the rest of the round and gives the ref a subtle shoulder charge on the way back to the corner. Round 2 turns Hagler-Hearns-esque, with Canelo going back to orthadox and both rocking each other with big shots. As Canelo returns to the corner, a new animation appears on the showtime screen displaying a gas-tank like animation of Canelo's predicted stamina levels, one they borrowed from the fight night series of playstation games. (Instead of a belt, it was agreed that the winner of the bout would feature on the cover of the latest playstation boxing game). Round 3 is a good one for Angulo, who knocks down Canelo twice. Suspicions are raised when Fat Dan at ringside sees a red laser pointed at the chest of a terrified looking judge, who seems to scribble '9-9' on his scorecard. De La Hoya is suspicious in his absence: he will later claim to have gone for a drink upon seeing his adopted son on the canvas, but phone records will match him to a well known assassain who was seen in Vegas earlier the same day. Meanwhile, Fat Dan will tweet blaming the contraversy on Rigo or drunk Brits. The pace slows in the 4th and 5th. Angulo appears guilty of showboating to the crowd, and attempts a dry-hump on the ginger which prompts referee to deduct a point for what he calls 'Pulling a Broner.' Judges faces light up upon this point deduction. Canelo's team give him a suspicious looking drink at the end of the 6th and he comes out at the 7th with slick levels and his gas tank increased, as he bobs and weaves and Showtime editors salivate over some slow-mo moves and counter punches. Angulo's eye starts to swell up and the Rocky comparasions begin to get circulated. Angulo blinks a lot, claiming foul play, and Canelo giggles with his corner between rounds, who perform what commentator Malinaggi calls a 'super-gay' special handshake. For the 10th, Canelo starts to run but Angulo catches up to him and knocks him down and hurts him which a lunging left hook. The crowd go crazy, as Angulo lands bombs and Canelo refuses to hold, but stands his ground and fights back until the bell rings, seemingly early, to a cresendo of excitement. Canelo's team jump into the ring and celebrate with their fighter, and there is general confusion as it is announced the fight is over and had only been scheduled for 10 rounds. Buffer says 'Ya'll should've gone to specsavers and you could have been able to read the fine print, bia-tches' before throwing down the mike and crowd-surfing. Chaos ensues as the wide-eyed De La Hoya reads out lopsided cards in favour of Canelo, who is now on a drip-like devise labelled 'refueling pod.' Mayweather bursts into the ring and gives Canelo and Angulo a ticket with a number between one and ten on it, declaring they have just entered the Money sweepstakes and he will draw a number out of a hat after for his September opponent. (He will later claim the Pacquaio's got lost in the post). The broadcast ends swiftly as Angulo is restrained and the judges and referee are ushered out of the ring by security guards.
