    Within the next two years?

He is going to go VERY far imho.

Degale v Dirrell would be awesome to watch (in a technical sense).

my only itch with degale is his punch technique, slaps way to much at the mo, once he irons that out, the world is his oyster

if dirrell had some testiclae he could be a world champion. he may yet pick up a belt but i dont think he'll ever face ward.

i hope kessler has something left and gets to put a beatdown on dirrel in his comeback :deal

What did people think of Degale's power the other night? Hopefully he was just taking it real easy because it looked like he was just touching the guy half the time.

i wonder how many fights degale will have just to get rounds in because he is beyond euro level already for me, i hope he builds slowly though, i'd hate to see him get chucked in too deep too early.

got to negotiate the challenge of ugly kid first though

Abraham gets beat, degale steals the rounds with early work and gets on his bike for last couple of rounds.

Ward breaks him a new one and embarasses him, too great a challenge at a young age.

Kessler would have knocked him out as soon as he got going, 3 rounds or less, reckon it would be of highlight reel quality.

Froch knocks him out late on when he turns on the championship quality, really hurts degale and stops him similarly to the way he stopped taylor.

Dirrell beats him on points, he is better than most fighters realistically, dont let his theatrics fool you, he is a special fighter if he wants to be.

Taylor loses as he is shot to **** and lost his stamina, degale forces ref to stop late on.

    ----

Green gets beat on points, the guy just hasn't lived upto the coddrington ko and would be beaten handily by degale.

Johnson beats degale, too much pressure and good punch output with authority, he troubles degale and knocks him out mid rounds.

Did Stephen Bendall get this kind of hype after he beat Paul Smith?

    Lol

But realistically its impossible to tell where degale will be in 2 years if you asked a year ago how would he do against Paul Smith you would have said he will get beaten badly.

Fighters develop in funny ways and its hard to know what direction it will take sometimes its impossible to predict these fights but degale will be competetive at world level at least imo

Hard to tell, but IMO DeGale looks to have the potential to be the real deal... provided there are MANY things he does. If he keeps his head down, working hard and doesnt get overly arrogant about his skills I think he can go far. I thought the last few rounds against Smith he put on a clinic.

I would of said he would beat Smith after his pro debut.

Based on what we have seen from him so far, and the opposition he has faced to ask how he will fair agaisnt the Super Six is just stupid. If you think this guy is gonna be the next Calzaghe or a british P4P No.1 your setting yourself up for a major major fall.

I dont know he has talent and for all his bravado and talk he definitely has a steely determination i think he is dedicated to the sport and he loves the sport and he has a genuine calling to be the best. I reserve judgement i think he can make it to compete at world level but how good he really will be nobody can tell beyond that i think

no doubt what we have seen so far he is a top level prospect. but theres so many un answered questions and he makes so many mistakes and he clearly lacks real power.

Agree with some of the other comments that Dirrell is potentially a very special fighter (I think he's the best smw out there), unfortunately he's also a bit 'special' in the head, and seems terrified of anyone with heavy hands.

That said, Degale hasn't displayed any power that'd scare Dirrell, and Andre wins handily. Think the others have a little too much too, bar maybe AA (who might've slipped back down to MW by then), Al Green, and if we're talking 2 years time then maybe Johnson - who'll be 59.

...No, think I still fancy Johnson. Surely Degale would have to fight Miranda first anyway - isn't that a SMW prerequisite?

I will also echo the opinions that Dirrell is the most naturally gifted at 168 and he has all the tools to be P4P ranked and be at the top of the division. It's up to him.
