I think he will be remembered as one of the most protected belt holders of all time.

A great puncher with a limited skillset

Someone who filled the void of the American heavyweight which was missing for a long time (and may cotinue to be missing for a long time)

He'll get into the HOF because of this

He will be overrated in hypothetical fantasy fights because of his power like David Tua, Earnie Shavers, and Tommy Morrison

Wilders fights with Fury will be remembered. Especially the 3rd one

Obviously won't be remembered as an all time great.

Yep, he almost got KO'd by Ortiz and counted on his power to bail him out, then people act like it's shocking that he lost to Parker and Wilder. Don't understand that to be perfectly honest.

I see people talking about how Wilders resume is so bad and not worthy of the Hall of Fame which is reasonable but truthfully I dont think Vitali Klitschkos resume is that much better

If Wilder was a fraud he wouldn't have beat Ortiz

Ortiz had legit skills & pedigree as a boxer. Fury has legit skills as a boxer but Wilder pressed him in 2 bouts with power alone.

Meanwhile people laud over Wlad...who the hell did Wlad beat. Easy to criticize.

Wilder is 40 years old and finished and NOW people want to jump on the put down train? It's no secret Wilder is a heavily flawed fighter and EVERYONES resume could be better.

Fact is this version of Zhang gives any version of Wilder NIGHTMARES....just so happens Zhang reaching HIS peak met Wilder at his worst.

Parker is also on paper terrible for Wilder. These guys all have ridiculous chins and aren't going to walk into a Wilder right hand easily. Fury's chin is good but he will go over then recover quickly, although that resistance is now going with age and miles.

Just so happens if Zhang holds himself together at 280 pounds solid he can go down as one of the harders hitters ever. He's unlucky lucky Parker is made or iron but still almost had him.

Put RESPECT on all these fighters. You know how hard it is to be a top tier heavyweight. Hurgovic, Dubious even the bodybuilder AJ. It's not easy. Anything less than bang average and you're getting chinned the moment you step up like that ugly Russian bloke Kabayel smashed.

He will be remembered as the guy who had a dent pounded into his head. Damn, hard to watch.

Looking forward to the bleating and moaning here when Wilder is inducted into the IBHOF.

I'd rate Wlad and Vitali's power above Wilders, which is pretty much Wilders legacy, his power which was just okay vs actual competition.

If this is his downfall, what was, in your eyes as a wilder fan, his rise?

The 50 KOs against part time boxers and retirees?
    Be Ware?
    The draw with Fury?

I'd say the man has no legacy except that he will be used as an example of someone who's a product of marketing with nothing to show.

Yup - gave him a convenient excuse to not fight bcus drugs cheat... A clearly highly valued personal principle, given he happily fought such clean fighters as Ortiz and Fury :lol:
