I think its going to be very interesting to see how Floyd deals with all that holding, and Clinching on the inside.....how does a fighter train for that?? i mean, Hatton has so many combinations of holding....he holds one arm and hits with his other, he holds both arms walks you back quickly lets go throws a combo and quickly holds againso u cant retaliate, then he also just holds until the ref breaks u up.......

Im not trying to knock hatton, i personally hate any clincher, Ruiz, Forrest....i think it takes away from real action...but it the ref allows it, so be it....but how does Floyd deal with that..?? will he have his sparring partners hold him?? clinch him??

Who knows. Hattons a mauler and brawler, it is a big part of his game. He'll use good defence to get inside but once he is inside he wants to hold and hit, nudge and shove etc

Floyd won't stay inside to be grabbed, and Hatton's going to need to adjust his gameplan. If he plods forward and tries to grab, he'll get picked apart like Baldomir.

Personally i think the Hatton has an advantage, because while he is holding and walking you back......hes the only one that knows when he s gonna let go in order to hit you again and immediately clinch....so Floyd has to react to Hattons letting go....sort of like a cornerback in football reacting to a wide reciever...the cornerback is always at a disadvantage....

yeah Floyd does Clinch, but Hatton takes it to another level....Floy will clinch you if you have him cornered and are trying ot land body shots......thats if you can corner him cause his footwark is nearly perfect...but Hatton Initiates his complete gameplan revolves around clinching and holding......watch the kostya fight, and even the Castillo....i remember saying to myself during the Kostya fight " what the hell is this wrestling"....i mean its effective....but ugly to watch...it neutralizes your opponents offense

PBF will put that forearm right under Hatton’s chin to get him off of him and create a little punching space, just like he always does to guys running in on him.

Forearms/elbows, followed by right hands (uppercuts).

Lots of talk before the fight about how Hatton is dirty and holds, to try to get the ref to prevent too much holding.

Funny how you feel Hattons inside fighting detracts from 'real action'. especially when you are talking about Floyd Mayweather. Who has IMO done boxing a great mis-service by turning the casual fan off of boxing. Only an absolute purist who turned a blind eye to zero-class trash-talking could admire such a crass and vulgar *******.

Ummm....the casual boxing fan stopped watching before PBF became prominant. Casual boxing fans had no idea who PBF was until he fought Gatti.

Not to mention, PBF has had pretty good PPV numbers as of late. Just as good as action fighters like Cotto and Pacman.

To answer the question, I think PBF will use that forearm to create space, which is quite illegal BTW.

Something being underestimated here. Hatton has faster hands than given credit for, and he does have good boxing skills when he is on the inside.

Floyds numbers on PPV are only because of another big name attached, Floyd to this day can not fight a bum and draw it just wont happen.
