    distance so quick?

we all know that Ricky is going to be in and all over floyds grille all night. I think floyd is going to find it very hard to box his natural fight.

To say that he will to too evasive for ricky and counterpunch him all night is very much underestimating how hard it will be for Floyd to get the space to do that.

Floyd throws short, compact punches. A fighter like him doesn't need a whole lot of room to get off punches(watch his fight with Jesus Chavez to see what I'm talking about). Furthermore, it doesn't seem like many of Ricky's opponents have had trouble landing punches on him. Otherwise, his face wouldn't constantly be bruised up.

i think thats the generally accepted theory but what im saying is i reckon it will be harder for floyd to do that with hatton then it has been with other fighters

I hope Hatton does cover the distance a quickly as you predict, but Floyd counters very well and will move laterally a lot. It's all going to come down to speed. If Hatton's speed is close to Floyds this will be a fantastic fight.

No matter how quick Hatton covers distance he'll still encounter 2 or three counters on the way in. :D

And yeah Hatton covers distance very quickly . . . to hug opponents for him to sneak in his punches. Well he'll have problem doing that this time because Floyd is not a dumb fighter. Floyd can fight in and out and can change tempo and fighting plan anytime. :yep

This is going to be a huge problem for PBF, what, with his slow feet and all.

Dont forget Floyds not a bit shy about dropping the elbow in also I think Hatton is going to get cut badly in this fight

Once again, watch the Jesus Chavez fight. Chavez was on him all night. Floyd was still able to land punches at will. Hatton is certainly a better fighter than Chavez, but he presented a similar pressure style which didn't stop Floyd from getting off plenty of good shots.

I think that the main concern here is that since Ricky is taking the fight to Floyd for granted, he's goin to take shots comin in and as the human being he is, he's not senseless to pain and whatever success he achieves breaking through, his attack will be severely reduced in leverage and energy. So what chances has a pressure fighter who's constantly beaten to the punch? Only to deliver a knockout blow or wear his opponent out but it can't be that JLC one shot cause Ricky takes a jab and a right before he gets there, lands a clumsy, misplaced and even strong hook and that's it; it can't be wearing down PBF like Tszyu either cause Floyd is not gonna be hit that often... So it all leads to the obvious outcome, Ricky starts at a maddening fast pace, the first two rounds are quite exciting and maybe the scores will be even at round three, from round four onwards, it's all Mayweather and Hatton growing slower and holding more, eventually he lasts to a 12 round lopsided decision.

Hatton is a tough mother****er. But his reach and his low guard and simple head movement will allow Floyd to tag him at will and move if need be or let him come in and swing a few shots parry and counter again at will. Hatton drops his gloves all the time even when you seem him training on the heavy bag. Floyd wont fall for his feints and he will be able to time him and get his rythm almost instantly during the fight. You have to look at the way hatton punches. He throws from two angles with his left hand and two angles with his right hand and his favorite is to throw and left hook coming underneath and coming up kind of like a semi uppercut to the body. This is a very effective punch as it does a lot of rib damage. But it leaves him open so somebody with quick hands a la Collazo could counter him in combination after he blocks it. The philly shell is going to destroy hatton as he has no reach and has to bounce around to get to the body rather then swing hooks around a la Castillo.

Floyd will beat Hatton both inside and out.

Floyd will beat Hatton all nite long --- for as long as it lasts.
He will beat him both inside and outside.
Hatton will not out muscle Floyd.
Hatton is not the stronger man nor is he faster or in better condition.

Hatton is going to stick to PBF's chest like glue 3 x 12, pushing him, pushing him, roughing him up, closing the gap, relentlessly.

PBF won't be able to escape for the whole fight, and then folks, you will see somehting that the little showpony who cherrypicks his opponents has been terrified to let the public see - him crumbling under pressure :yep
