This fight is too close to call imo, but I am leaning slightly toward Hatton.

Those who are talking about Mayweather beating Hatton on the inside.....Mayweather does'nt exactly mantain a high workrate fighting at his distance.....I think that if he's forced to fight on the inside, he's not going to be able to match Hattons workrate.

Imo its all going to come down to who the better conditioned fighter is.
If its Mayweather, he'll win a decision.....
If its Hatton....Mayweather will slow considerably down the stretch and get mauled by the relentless attack of Hatton.

Man, I am so much looking foward to this fight!:yep

Its going to be crazy how many times PBF counters Hatton.I see no reason for PBF not to break the Compubox record for highest percentage of punches landed

Great discussion....I am a huge Mayweather fan, seen all of his fights, many of them multiple times. I also love Hatton, great pressure fighter who throws punches in so many angles. As well as Floyd can fight on the inside, I too am beginning to think Hatton's ability to immediately close the distance between himself and his opponents while throwing short uppercuts and vicious body punches will give Mayweather A LOT of problems. Hatton wont, even for a SECOND, stand in front of Mayweather without moving his head and lunging in with uppercut/jab variations until the distance is closed again. He will really, really pressure Floyd, and with all of Floyd's shoulder rolling on the inside, his body will be wide open. DLH stood in front of Mayweather without doing anything, but when he pressured Mayweather, he was much more successful. Hatton will give Mayweather problems, and though Mayweather is my favorite fighter, styles make fights, and I think Hatton will pull off the upset by simply NOT ALLOWING Floyd to fight his fight. Also, Hatton seems like a great , humble, guy, would love to see him win.

Forgot to mention, Hatton's speed is extremely underrated. He is quick on his toes and can change angles very fast. Its going to be a battle of who can win on the inside once that gap is closed, and while Floyd was NEVER shy to stand toe to toe and exchange in LOWER WEIGHT classes, he will have his hands tied against Hatton. If I had to picture the one style that could give Mayweather absolute hell, its Hattons. Im damn excited though.

Maybe so.. I'm a fan of both guys but being in the UK you see and hear alot more of Hatton than you would in the US.. and I think he's being underrated somewhat by alot of people.. The ones who go around thinking its going to be a really one sided fight clearly haven't watched him enough.. Plus I think although he is a fantastic fighter people overrate Mayweather sometimes.. Just my opinion..

:good ............ Totally agree with you there Vlad...
Hatton is a tough mother****er. But his reach and his low guard and simple head movement will allow Floyd to tag him at will and move if need be or let him come in and swing a few shots parry and counter again at will. Hatton drops his gloves all the time even when you seem him training on the heavy bag. Floyd wont fall for his feints and he will be able to time him and get his rythm almost instantly during the fight. You have to look at the way hatton punches. He throws from two angles with his left hand and two angles with his right hand and his favorite is to throw and left hook coming underneath and coming up kind of like a semi uppercut to the body. This is a very effective punch as it does a lot of rib damage. But it leaves him open so somebody with quick hands a la Collazo could counter him in combination after he blocks it. The philly shell is going to destroy hatton as he has no reach and has to bounce around to get to the body rather then swing hooks around a la Castillo.Today 12:06 AM
Got to admit it that this is a damn good post as well though........;)
What Toopretty says is right but I just have this feeling that Hatton is going to land a looper & cause the upset !!!!
