One thing is for sure. He will be a big public figure in the UK for many years to come. With or without a fight against a Klit
Well he is getting more and more commercial success now and is becoming a household name in the UK atleast. That is maybe taking centre stage to his boxing? who knows.
His legacy...at this point anyways is a bit less accomplished that someone such as say Oliver McCall, or even David Tua. A win of a robot would boost him on up there. Remembered as a Talker first & foremost. Like the guy, but let the fist tell the story. Enough jabber - I'd much rather listen to James Toney's drunk ass ramble on , he is funnier (to me) then David Haye.
David Haye in boxing history goes some thing like this : Too young to comete against George Foreman, retiring to young to compete against the Tyson Fury's of the world And too old to beat a Klitschko (Cause the contract never was signed)
Haye never cared about boxing greatness or being remembered as a great in 20 years -- despite having the talent for it. All he cared for is filling his bank account with retirement money. And the British sheep were happy to fill it up for him while he served them sh** on plate for fights at HW. You think Haye gives a rat's a** about his fans or the sport of boxing?
Without fighting Klitschko: Great CW and mediocre/short career at HW, seems unfinished. Fighting and losing to Klitschko: Hypejob. Fighting and beating Klitschko: Great CW and very good HW, short career, pure quality.
