If he doesn't fight and beat at least one Klitschko brother he won't be remembered outside of England at all. If he beats either Wlad or Vitali - or both - then the world is his oyster. Haye will make it to the HoF.

Haye knows all the talent in the world doesn't help him if his chin and his defense aren't up to par. Haye knows he gets hit too often and if he fought younger, quicker and more capable opposition the risk of being knocked out would rise dramatically. He could well fight for another 10 years but he'd be knocked out brutally every once in a while. He knows all that and was forced to choose a different path for himself.

Haye is actually scared of getting knocked out and suffering brain damage and said numerous times he doesn't want to end up like some of the older boxers who stutter when speaking.

He chose to hype himself into a British superstar, promise the British fans spectacular world-class HW fights while in reality delivering them crappy fights against near 40 year old have-beens that pose little risk to his chin or even health. Then retire with a loaded bank account without getting tagged on the chin.

ok is it safe to say he is robbing the British public? or I guess he's just being very shrewd and maximizing his earning potential taking the least amount of risk.

Right now he should be remembered in the ring as a talented small heavyweight who wasnt afraid to fight abroad.

Outside the ring a loudmouth who hasnt backed up his egotistical comments(as of yet).

Haye would really need to pick up the pace if he is even going to be remembered in two years time.

Valuev, Ruiz and Harrison at Heavy.

Thompson , Momeck and Big Mac at Cruiser ( losing one of those).

    Just not enough .

Would need to beat both brothers to be recognised as a champion, at present just a paper champion.

It really really depends how he finished

Its like writing a bio on OJ and ending it b4 he murders his Ex Wife

If he dont fight hte Klits his page in history will be very small

At Cruiser he beat a future titlist Fragomeni, A real Ring champ in Mormeck, and Enzo Mac who at the time looked spectacular but now lost his luster and really isnt a big win

At Heavy he talked a lot of **** promised a big KO vs Valuev and turned in one of the worst fights ever after calling the Klits saftey first what do you call that. Vs Ruiz he doesnt get so much credit, most say how tough Ruiz was and Ruiz showed heart nobody applauded Haye. Then Harrisson anotehr terrible fight vs an undeserving

If he retired now we have 1 ok win at cruiser a great win at cruiser and a fading win at cruiser

at HWT 2 of the worst title fights of all time and another win he hasnt panned out and he has been a let down

if he retired now hed be in my memory as a buisnessman afraid to take risks and got out at the right time

Truth is... until 2011 unfolds nobody knows!!!

But then even if Haye signed to fight both Klits next year and knocks them both out you'll stick have these keyboard warriors who haven't traded punches since they were 5 calling Haye a coward, chicken ect.... It's pretty pathetic

When Wlad knocks him out i can read:

Haye was nothing than a paper champ.
